Shurijo Castle Park Kukeimon was once used as a common gate during the Ryukyu dynasty. Kukeimon was founded between 1477 and 1526, and is said to be the era of Sho Shin. The upper part of Kukeimon was repaired in 1983, but the lower part of the Shuri castle wall retains the Ryukyu limestone at the time of its construction. Below the Kukeimon, there is a spring called "Ryuhi", from which high-quality water called "Kanmizugawa Hikawa" flows out.
